Modern Farmhouse

This is a fully custom designed home, situated on a 40-acre piece of land with a 2-acre pond in Northwest Indiana.  The client wanted to create a sanctuary – an open concept design where they could unwind at the end of a busy day, but also have large gatherings of family and friends – inside and out.  Textural and neutral finishes allow the focus to be on the changing seasons outside, but adding a few unexpected design elements highlight the clients’ personal hobbies and business. 

CMD was presented with an ASID Design Excellence Award in the Residential category for this project in 2019.
